He/Him
Communication is key to connection, consultation, creation, and confidence.
I've been behind the chair for 20 years, and no two days are the same—there's always more to learn. I love color; there isn't a shade of red or brown I don't love. I love to cut too, from fades to long layers.
I started my career training under Master Stylist Kay Hirai in Seattle, working my way up to lead stylist and salon manager, before moving back east in 2009. I've worked with Aveda, Goldwell, and Wella color lines, and I believe consultation is key to building a lasting relationship with a client. I want my clients to walk out with hair they can replicate at home and live in until I see them again.
Hairdressing has given me the flexibility to complete my bachelor's degree, sing in a pop/rock choir, explore the improv stage, and travel. Outside the salon, I'm inspired by museums, Broadway, and all the culinary delights NYC has to offer—there isn't a dessert I won't enjoy.
