I've been behind the chair for over 16 years, and I specialize in men's cuts, precision cuts, shag cuts, and long layers. I love fashion cuts inspired by Japanese trends—a passion rooted in the five years I spent training and working in Tokyo, where I mastered cutting, coloring, straightening, perming, and head spa treatments. At the heart of my education was the belief that a hairstyle should reflect a person's lifestyle, fashion, and music, a philosophy that continues to influence my work today.
Since moving to New York City, I've embraced new techniques and expanded my expertise across a diverse range of hair types and cultural influences. Every cut and color I do is customized to your unique features — face shape, head shape, hair texture, cowlicks, and even how you touch and live with your hair.
My clients often refer to my work simply as "Kuri Magic." Outside the chair, I love trying new foods and exploring new restaurants.
