Bloom How: Elle's Revamped Chocolate Chip Cookies!!

This past weekend I was heading home to see my family, and wanted to bring a little treat with me. Always a sucker for Chocolate Chip cookies, I had a bag of Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips in the cupboard calling for me. As I was pulling out the rest of the ingredients for my go-to recipe (on the back of the Nestle bag), I realized I was out of butter. But... I did have Coconut Oil! Why not make a healthier version? So, I subbed the butter out for the coconut oil, agave instead of granulated sugar and added in chia and flax seeds. If you really wanted to go all out you could substitute the all-purpose flour for whole wheat, or at least half whole wheat flour. I was told they tasted just as good as the real thing... Preheat Oven to 350 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon sea salt 3/4 Cup of Coconut Oil 1/2 Cup of Agave 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 Tablespoon Ground Flax Seed 1/4 Cup Chia Seeds 2 large eggs 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

Combine: flour, baking soda, ground flax seed and salt in small bowl. Beat softened or room temp. coconut oil, agave, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and chia seeds. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9-11 mins., keeping a close eye on the cookies as coconut oil tends to brown quickly.
